Description
Blade-shaped, the thallus measures 5 to 10 cm in diameter. The algae is abundant in the biotopes of the lower littoral media. It is found in significantly polluted areas. Indeed, ulva lactuca is considered a good indicator of pollution. The algae proliferates in spring and summer thanks to massive nutrient enrichments. This species is used in human food.
