The chosen theme refers to a technological advance which characterizes the 20th century, a century of multiple discoveries where electricity, mechanics and automation will constitute the bases of electronics, computing and industry in general.
Automation, which, due to its generalization, is also beginning to be qualified as machinery, is defined as a subset of machines intended to replace the action of humans in generally simple, thankless and repetitive tasks, requiring precision and rigor.
The automation engineer must have knowledge of electricity, electronics, mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics. The basic sciences required for this type of skill mainly concern the binary system, decimal and hexadecimal systems, logical function and Boolean algebra.
