Description
It is a large tree, with a smooth trunk whose bark is easily detached. Belongs to the Myrtaceae family, also called fever tree, globular eucalyptus, blue gum tree.

In the past, this tree was cultivated in regions where malaria was rife because it was believed to have the power to overcome fevers.
