Description
The gladiolus is a spring plant, adorning vast expanses of crops and wheat fields with its magnificent flowering spikes.
It is a bulbous tuber plant.
Its stem, sometimes reaching more than 80 cm long, bears long, sheathing, pointed leaves towards the base.
Its flowers, in loose spikes, are few in number and more or less facing one side.
They are distinguished by their bright pink perianth and irregular petals.
From the Iridaceae family, the gladiolus is common in Tell and the Hauts Plateaux.
