Description
It is a perennial, bulbous plant, which can reach more than 35 cm in height, with a more or less compressed stem and long, flat, bluish green basal leaves. Its flowers, arising from a persistent membranous spathe, have a long-tube perianth, six whitish or yellow divisions and a bright yellow crown.
From the amaryllidaceae family, the narcissus is native to the Mediterranean regions where it is often cultivated for its fragrant and ornamental qualities. Its flowering varies from December to April. It is very abundant around Algiers, especially in the west.
