Description
chouk boutli is a powerful plant, with branched stems of 30 to 150 cm, furrowed and not winged with green leaves, spotted with white.
Its roots are very large, sinuous, toothed and more or less spiny.
Its flower heads are solitary, large terminals 4 to 8 cm in diameter, red and purpurine.
It is a nitrophilous, biennial plant of uncultivated places. Milk thistle is used in traditional medicine. It has cholagogue and choleretic properties.
