Description
The viperine also belongs to the Borraginaceae family. It is a herbaceous or woody plant, often diffuse and very bristly. The basal leaves are petiolate, the upper ones sessile. The flowers are very large, 25 to 35 mm, with a very obliquely truncated blade, reddish then purplish.
This plant is common throughout the Algerian Tell, quite rare elsewhere.
